The Hang Seng HKEX Stock Connect China Enterprises Index (SCCEA) is the first co-branded index between HKEX and Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL).

Indexing represents an exciting new adjacency for HKEX to explore outside of its core business, with the aim of enhancing its one-stop-shop offering to clients.

Indices provide a transparent and systematic benchmark for the performance of a range of assets, and help participants make more informed trend-aligned investment decisions. By launching proprietary indices, we are supporting the development of the broader investment ecosystem, facilitating the global shift into passive strategies and reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as an international financial hub.

About the Hang Seng HKEX Stock Connect China Enterprises Index

HKEX is collaborating with HSIL to jointly introduce the Hang Seng HKEX Stock Connect China Enterprises Index (SCCEA), the first co-branded index between the two companies.

Hang Seng HKEX Stock Connect China Enterprises Index offers a comprehensive and authoritative benchmark that facilitates global and onshore investors’ access to China’s growth story.

It reflects the performance of 80 large-cap Chinese companies listed in Hong Kong and/or Mainland China – including HSCEI constituents and the largest A-shares – that are eligible for Northbound and Southbound Stock Connect.

This diverse mix of constituents offers representative China market coverage, providing investors with more choice and unique sector opportunities in both Mainland China and Hong Kong.
