Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) has announced the arrangements for the adjustment to Haidilao International Holding Ltd (Haidilao) structured products, futures and options to account for Haidilao’s spin-off and separate listing of Super Hi shares on the SEHK by way of a distribution in specie.

Structured products with shares of Haidilao as underlying asset

The listing documents of all existing structured products with the shares of Haidilao as underlying asset contain provisions that deal with a corporate action of the underlying company. If the spin-off and the distribution are implemented, structured product issuers shall make announcements in the evening of 30 December 2022 regarding the relevant adjustments to the terms of structured products (including the entitlement and exercise price as appropriate). Investors should read the contents of such announcements carefully.

Adjustments of Haidilao Futures and Options

Investors should note that the adjusted and standard stock futures and options will have different contract sizes following the listing of Super Hi. There will not be any changes to the number of open positions and other contract terms after the transfer of positions.
