Head of Market Development, HKEX
Mr Li Gang is the Head of Market Development at HKEX. Mr Li plays an important role in developing HKEX's new revenue and product initiatives in both the international and Mainland markets across all asset classes.
Mr Li has more than 20 years of futures industry experience. In 2004, Mr Li founded Shanghai Billionton Metal and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2012.
In addition, Mr Li held senior management roles at several Mainland futures firms, including: General Manager of Shanghai Jinpeng Futures Co. Ltd.; CEO of Y.T. China Star. BV.; CEO of China Score Development Co. Ltd.; Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Star Futures Co. Ltd. etc.. Mr Li was also a council member in China Futures Association.
Mr Li graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1989 and obtained Bachelor of Science in Earth and Space Sciences.
