With the vision to help address various social and environmental challenges faced by our society and in celebration of the 20th anniversary of HKEX, the HKEX Foundation has set up the HKEX Charity Partnership Programme (the “Programme”) with a fund size of HK$20 million to support services offered by The Community Chest of Hong Kong’s (the Chest) social welfare member agencies. The Programme aims to support the development of the community and the needs of society, to foster mutual help in community, and to make contributions to the long-term sustainability of Hong Kong. It focuses on the following four themes:
  • Financial Literacy – To promote financial literacy among students, young (working) adults or retirees;
  • Diversity and InclusionTo foster gender equality in our community or an inclusive environment for youngsters with special educational needs;
  • Poverty Relief – To support and help the vulnerable and impoverished elderly aged 65 or above to be self-sustainable;
  • Environmental SustainabilityTo promote awareness and understanding of environmental impacts brought by climate change and/or single-use plastics, as well as encouraging accountability and actions through environmental education programmes.
