In the latest HKEXVoice podcast, HKEX Head of Listing, Bonnie Y Chan, spoke about the recent developments of the listing environment in Hong Kong. She noted that the recent announcement to include Hong Kong-listed international companies in Southbound Stock Connect will have significant implications for Hong Kong’s capital markets, as it enables Hong Kong-listed international companies to tap the Mainland’s highly liquid market and huge investor base, whilst providing Mainland investors with the opportunity to invest in international companies. She believes the initiative will add to the attractiveness of Hong Kong as a world premier listing hub and strengthen the city’s position as an international financial centre.

Bonnie also discussed the recent reforms to enhance the listing regime for overseas issuers, making it easier for international issuers, including overseas-listed Chinese companies, to seek a secondary or dual primary listing in Hong Kong.
