Short Selling of A Shares through Stock Connect to Start on 2 March

Beginning 2 March 2015, short selling of certain Shanghai-listed A shares (Eligible SSE Securities for Short Selling) will be allowed under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect (Stock Connect), Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited’s (HKEx) mutual market access programme with the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE).
The list of Eligible SSE Securities for Short Selling can be found on the HKEx website, and further details of the short selling of A shares through Stock Connect can be found in the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect FAQ for Investors on the HKEx website.
To support the short-selling arrangement, HKEx will publish the following information on the HKEx website for each of the Eligible SSE Securities for Short Selling on days when there is A-share, or Northbound, trading under Stock Connect.
