Mr Martin Lin is the Trading Head, FXLM Flow China, Global Markets
of BNP Paribas. He has led the trading desk in the Hong Kong
branch office and China subsidiary in Shanghai since 2005, when the
RMB FX reform kicked off onshore. Mr Lin has helped build up the
onshore bond assets, NDF, and swap derivatives businesses and set
up the domestic credit activities.
Mr Lin was relocated from Shanghai back to Hong Kong in
2009 to build the offshore CNH platform under the China
internationalization theme. In 2011, his team was ranked No.1 by
Asia Risk Interbank Poll. In 2012, he was given the outstanding
Trading Head Award from CFETS, and led his team to No. 2 in a
survey for China products by Euromoney. In 2014 the team won
the Best Derivatives Trading House of the Year from the People’s
Bank of China, and was awarded a Type A Bond Custodian License
in 2015.
Mr Lin majored in financial engineering at the Chinese University
of Hong Kong and has a Minor in Economics from the University
of California, Berkeley. He worked in the Development Bank of
Singapore before trading greater China FX and rates at BNP Paribas
for 13 years.
