Monday, 8 May
Reporters from around the world learned about LMEprecious and HKEX gold futures at the media workshop, marking the start of the exciting week.

Tuesday, 9 May
HKEX organised a two-day training session for the members of China Futures Association (CFA). HKEX Co-head of Market Development Li Gang gave an opening speech, followed by interactive discussions with representatives from Chinese futures companies and HKEX senior representatives from the commodities, FIC and equities departments.

Wednesday, 10 May 
The LME Asia Metals Seminar, our highlight of the week, brought together over 800 industry experts to discuss investment opportunities with high profile speakers. 

Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR government Paul Chan Mo-po delivered opening remarks following HKEX Chairman C K Chow’s welcome address. HKEX Chief Executive Charles Li delivered the keynote speech. 

A series of insightful and compelling panel discussions were also held, spanning from HKEX and LME’s upcoming gold futures products to the outlook for the commodities market and electronic trading in Asian time zones.




The famous black-tie gala dinner that night attracted over 1,800 distinguished guests for a glittering evening of food and drink along with incredible entertainment. 

Thursday, 11 May 
Around 300 industry representatives attended our forum at the Qianhai Mercantile Exchange (QME) in Mainland China, exchanging their views with speakers on the future development of Mainland commodities markets.  

Friday, 12 May 
On the last day of the event, HKEX held a professional training course to help market participants understand LME’s services and how they can help improve price risk management.
