HKEX offers two internship programmes, available to different levels of students’ experience: 2024 HKEX Part Time Internship Programme and 2024 HKEX Summer Internship Programme. Both programmes offer interns an unique experience in global markets, with the opportunity to learn, develop new skills, take on direct responsibility for work and projects, and be part of a fun and ambitious team right at the heart of global markets.
2024 HKEX Part Time Internship Programme
The programme kicks-off from January 2024 and continues until May 2024.
There could be flexible working arrangement depending on your academic schedule
2024 HKEX Summer Internship Programme
The programme kicks-off in July 2024 and continues until August 2024.
The maximum employment period for each intern is 2 months.

To join us, you must be
- Part Time Internship: Non penultimate year (Year 1, Year 2 and Year 4) students from any degree discipline who are physically in Hong Kong
- Summer Internship: Penultimate year students (graduating in between Sept 2024 to July 2025) from any degree discipline
- Be on track for a minimum 3.5 GPA; 2:1 Honours or equivalent
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and interest in global financial markets
- Possess strong sense of ownership, excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Open-minded to embrace new challenges, able to learn and adapt quickly
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and work well as a team

Late October - Early November 2023: Online Assessment
Late November - Early December 2023: Manager Interview
Remarks: Online assessment includes video interview, game-based assessment, and coding test (if applicable).
